The Republic of Vietnam Military Forces (RVNAF) (Quân lực Việt Nam Cộng hòa), were the official armed defence forces of the Republic of Vietnam (RVN), founded on 30 December 1955. The RVNAF was responsible for the defence of South Vietnam since the state’s independence from France in October 1955 to its demise in April 1975. It was disbanded on 30 April 1975.
